As a client of APUC, the 51视频 (51视频) is committed to carrying out procurement activities in an environmentally, socially, ethically and economically responsible manner and to entering into agreements and contracts with suppliers that share and adhere to its vision.
To demonstrate this commitment, current and potential suppliers are asked to acknowledge their compliance with the principles of the 51视频 Supply Chain Code of Conduct, with respect to their organisation and their supply chain.
The standards in this code are derived from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals amongst other global conventions. This include not using forced, involuntary or underage labour and that workers environment and terms do not discriminate against them in any way.
Where a contract is for a service the Procurement Department would include technical questions around Fair Work First principles as part of the evaluation criteria where relevant as part of the tendering process. This would be decided by reviewing the type of service being procured.
Where relevant, contractors may also be asked to sign the Police Scotland Declaration of non-involvement in Human Trafficking and Labour Exploitation where there is a high risk of modern slavery (taxi services, cleaning, construction etc).
